Influenced by his father, Kwanjangnim Yang Soo Lee began learning the way of martial arts at a very young age. He has a first-hand understanding of the unique benefits this path offers. His own education emphasized the effects of a positive attitude on one’s perception and behavior in all aspects of life. As a result, Kwanjangnim Lee brings this positivity, along with great energy and enthusiasm, to each class and individual he instructs.
Throughout a lifetime of martial arts training, Kwanjangnim Lee has distinguished himself from others in the field. He has won awards at both National and International Taekwondo championship tournaments. He has been the recipient of special awards from the World Taekwondo Headquarters (Kukkiwon). He has served as the Washington State Taekwondo Association’s Secretary General and Referee Chairman, as well as Washington State Team Coach.
Kwanjangnim Lee’s knowledge and execution of martial arts is indisputable, but it is his teaching of martial arts that truly sets him apart. Each student enrolled in his classes benefits from the emphasis Kwanjangnim Lee places on keeping a positive outlook, setting goals, and maintaining family values. He instills in his students his own love for martial arts and is a constant source of inspiration to everyone he works with.
